Churches come in many shapes and sizes. They affiliate with different denominations and meet in different types of structures. Yet all churches have one thing in common: They started sometime. Even the oldest congregations began at some point with a group of people who loved God, saw a need, and had a vision of how a new church could help meet that need.
This describes Rockingham Christian Church, which got its start quite recently. Born in Salem in November, 2001, as “Rising Sun Christian Church”, it has since been renamed to reflect the regional nature of its ministry. RCC has grown from a handful of families to over 250 participants.
Congregational strengths include:
- High-quality children and student ministries. A trained staff cares for and teaches children from birth through 12th grade
- Excellent, heartfelt worship. Many dedicated and gifted musicians and technicians pour their best work into each worship experience.
- Clear, practical Bible teaching. RCC values Holy Scripture highly, and it shows.
- A relational approach. RCC has an informal “family feel”, generating lasting friendships and a strong spirit of community service.
We warmly welcome you to visit one of our worship gatherings this or any Sunday. We think you’ll be glad you did!
