The Art of Marriage – January 4-5, 201314. November, 2012Events, Staff BlogNo commentsHave you always wanted to attend A Weekend to Remember but have never been able to find the time or money to pull away for an entire weekend? RCC is thrilled to offer an alternative for couples who want to make an investment in their marriage: The Art of Marriage. This one-and-a-half day video event is built on the same biblical content as Weekend to Remember but is hosted by a local church. With limiting the cost to materials and food, the registration fee is only $50/couple. Because we highly value this “retreat” for couples, we are unable to offer child care at RCC. So, get creative and plan that long overdue sleepover for your kids with grandparents or other relatives or close family friends. Or, contact Amy Snyder for a list of RCC teens who are available for babysitting. Here is what you will experience during The Art of Marriage, on Friday and Saturday, January 4 and 5th: Friday evening, couples will gather from 7:00 to 9:30 pm to begin a weekend of marriage renewal. Popcorn and drinks will be served as we experience “Love Happens” and “Love Fades” via a video presentation which includes: teaching by renowned marriage experts, engaging stories, real-life testimonies, man-on-the-street interviews and humorous vignettes. Couples will go home with a project to complete that evening. Saturday morning at 9:00 am, couples will once again gather at RCC to experience “Love Dances”, “Love Interrupted”, “Love Sizzles” and “Love Always”. The video presentations will be broken up by breaks for snacks and lunch and times for couples to meet one-on-one to work through projects related to The Art of Marriage material. The day will be wrapped up by 4:00 pm on Saturday.

KidzRock Virtue of the Month – November 20113. November, 2011Kidz RockNo comments
The season of Thanksgiving is upon us. We will kick off the month of Gratitude with our first Xtreme Kidz: Live! of the month on Saturday, November 5 at 4PM. Be sure to watch November’s Virtue Video here. This will help you begin to think about what your child is learning in Kidz Rock and at Xtreme Kidz: Live! this month, so the church and the home can work on the same thing at the same time. You can pick up November’s pack of God Time Cards at Xtreme Kidz: Live! on Saturday or at Kidz Rock on Sunday morning. Be sure to add them to your Family Yearbook and keep it where your family is most likely to spend time together: the breakfast or dinner table, on the coffee table next to the couch or next to the bed. November’s Widget is a Thank You/Invitation for the person or family of your child’s choosing. They will give this card to someone special in their life to say thank you for being special and to invite them to a Thanksgiving potluck following Xtreme Kidz: Live! on Saturday, November 19. Sign up at RCC to bring food and participate in this Potluck of Gratitude. |

We will be back next Saturday, October 15th at 4PM. Be sure to watch October’s Virtue Video here. This will help you begin to think about what your child is learning in Kidz Rock and at Xtreme Kidz: Live! this month, so the church and the home can work on the same thing at the same time. If you didn’t make it to Xtreme Kidz: LIVE! in September, your family didn’t get their 252Basics Family Yearbook. Don’t worry, you can pick one up the next Sunday you are at RCC. You can now pick up your family’s God Time Cards weekly or take an entire month’s worth of God Time Cards to put in your Family Yearbook because we believe what happens at home is even more important than what happens at church. Kidz Rock is a spring board to you being your child’s spiritual leader. We will top off October with a great party following Xtreme Kidz: LIVE! on October 29th, read more here. |
