2012 Recap Videos (playlist of all 5)

Camp Create is RCC’s summer art camp for kids, helping children learn about their Creator by being creative. Rockingham Christian Church hosts this camp at Salem High School for children ages 3 1/2 through children currently completing grade 5.  At Camp Create, we strive to learn more about our Creator by being Creative.  Through various themes, we look at God’s Story in His Bible and allow His unique story to inspire our art in theater, music, creative writing, dance and visual art.  A half-day program is available for children ages 3 1/2 through 6 years of age.  A full-day program is available for children who have completed grade 1-5.

We’ll begin each day at 9:00 AM at Camp Create by jumping right into our creative classes, rotating through different artistic experiences with our age group throughout the day. There will be everything from acting to singing, dancing to painting, writing to sculpting.  We’ll enjoy an array of artistic experiences throughout the week.

Before the half-day program dismisses at 12:30 PM, we’ll have an awesome group assembly in the theater where we’ll sing together, talk about the theme of the day, and have fun with the whole camp! Full-Day Campers will then head to the cafeteria for lunch (brought from home) while the half-day kids head home. After lunch, full-day campers will continue rotating through their classes until we wrap the day up at 3:30 PM.

All the children’s work will come together for one creative presentation on Friday evening.  Mark your calendars now for Friday Night’s Art Show: Friday, June 28 from 6:00-7:30 PM at Salem High School.
