At RCC, our “discipleship journey” takes place through small groups and community groups and is based on a 4-step “FaithClimb” process. Starting at the “Explore” level, it is our goal to help people move along their walk with Christ, eventually becoming a “Guide” for others.
Explore Groups: specially designed for those who are exploring the claims of the Christian Faith, checking out whether the FaithClimb is really for them. This doesn’t mean that those who are already Christ-followers can’t come; it just means that the subject matter will be intended for those asking questions about what we believe and why — in a very accepting, non-judgmental environment. These are great opportunities to invite your friends who don’t go to church!
Discover Groups: specially designed for those who are new or almost new Christ-followers. This doesn’t mean that long-time believers can’t come. Just be aware that the subject matter will be focused on the basics of the Christian life — how to establish the good habits of discipleship.
Climb Groups: specially designed for those who have been Christ-followers for a good while and have already established faithful habits of Bible study, prayer, worship, giving, and Christian service. This doesn’t mean that less experienced Christ-followers can’t participate, just that these groups will be digging into more “meaty” Bible study and application, so be prepared!
Guide Groups: specially designed for those who are mature Christ-followers, are actively practicing their habits of Bible study, prayer, worship, giving, and Christian service. More specifically, these groups contain people who are readily involved in leading a ministry at RCC, and openly helping others move through the “FaithClimb.” Guide Groups are designed for training, encouragement, and acountability for these leaders.
