It's going to be my first time at Kidz Rock, so what do I do?
As soon as you walk through the doors, there will be people and signage to point you in the right direction. You can register your children at the check-in station. After your child is registered, you will be encouraged to take a tour of the Kidz Rock rooms to ensure your comfort.
What are your procedures for keeping the children safe and accounted for?
Safety and security are fundamental to our Kidz Rock experience. Every Kidz Rock leader has had a background check performed and received thorough training. Children cannot be picked up by an adult without the security tag, which is received at the time of check in. Parents can also be notified at any time via text message if they are needed in the children’s area.
Who will be working with Kidz Rock? or, how can I get involved?
Kidz Rock leaders are highly dedicated and see the opportunity to serve children and families as a privilege. All of our volunteers pass security screenings and training. If you would like to get involved as a Kidz Rock leader, contact our director, Amy Snyder at firstname.lastname@example.org
What exactly happens at Kidz Rock?
Every child will experience specially selected music, teaching, and small group activities, accompanied by several fun games and activities that will help them to both learn and play in age-appropriate environments.
What do I do after my family leaves the worship gathering and Kidz Rock?
When you check your child out of Kidz Rock, or on your way home, we encourage you to ask your child about what they learned and help them figure out how to apply it during the upcoming week. You can also visit the RCC Blog to access “Parent Cues,” which give weekly tips on how to connect what your child learned with their everyday life.
What else do I need to know about Kidz Rock?
- Plan to arrive 15 minutes before the beginning of the experience, so that you and your child can enjoy the entire experience.
- Please label your child’s belongings before you arrive (bags, bottles, pacifiers).
- If a Kidz Rock leader needs to contact you during the worship gathering, they will do so via text message.
- To ensure the health of children and volunteers, we ask that sick children not attend Kidz Rock.
- Please inform the volunteers at check in if your children will be attending more than one hour.
- Safety and security are of the utmost importance to us. You must have the security tag with you to pick up your children.
What do you have for my children ages 5th grade-12th grade?
Once students enter 5th grade, they are encouraged to join their families for the Sunday morning worship gatherings. We also have ministries for 5-8th graders on Wednesday evening and for 9-12th graders on Sunday evening. Each ministry is comprised of games, Bible teaching, and discussion groups.
What are your policies and procedures for keeping my children safe?
All leaders within RCC Students go through a background check and are continually going through training.
